Plantscape supplies seasoned firewood & woodchip in 3 standard load sizes consisting of 90-95% hardwood & 5-10% softwood. The most popular size is the vented barrow bag, which is slightly smaller than a standard wheelie bin. This enables it to be manoeuvred through confined spaces using a sack barrow. These bags are ideal for storing firewood outside as they have a top cover flap with 2 velcro closures for rain protection & are vented to aid airflow. The vented bulk bag holds virtually a cubic metre unlike many others on the market. Whilst vented they do not have a cover flap & are too heavy to move without mechanical assistance. The most economical option is a loose truckload, which is popular with people using logs to heat their home.

Log Splitter Hire

Our professional Balfor vertical log splitter is available to hire for customers to process their own firewood. It has a splitting force of 11 tons & can split logs up to 1.4 metres in length & processes 1 to 2 cubic metres of firewood per hour. The log splitter has a 9 Hp petrol engine, adjustable table & optional 2 or 4 way splitting blade. The rental cost for one day is £50.00 & £40.00 for each subsequent day. Delivery & collection is charged at £1.00 per mile from Norwich. We can also supply a trained operator, loading tractor & log bags at an additional cost if required.
