The company recognises its duty to comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, & associated regulations as a minimum standard, & seeks to achieve best practice through continuous improvement in health & safety performance. The company will provide adequate financial & physical resources to ensure that this policy is implemented, monitored, maintained & improved through the adoption of a comprehensive Safety Management System. So far as is reasonably practicable, the company aims to achieve the following objectives:
• To comply with all relevant statutory legislation, regulations, industry standards & codes of practice, & to meet any specific health & safety requirements of clients. • To identify & review risks to health & safety of employees, & others who may be affected by company activities, & to minimise these through the adoption of a hierarchy of controls. • To provide & maintain safe working conditions, safe equipment & safe systems of work, which account for the risks & controls identified. • To ensure that all employees understand this policy, their legal duties & responsibilities, & are consulted on health & safety issues. To ensure all employees are competent to meet those responsibilities through appropriate instruction, training, communication & sharing of experience & expertise. • To review this policy at least annually, & make revisions as necessary to ensure ongoing effectiveness & relevance to Plantscape Tree Services Ltd & our clients & customers.
